Executive Alliance brings Shannetta Griffin, head of BWI and Martin State Airport to Women of Excellence, November 13th in Baltimore

BALTIMORE—Executive Alliance, which promotes women leaders in Maryland, will host Shannetta Griffin, the Executive Director and CEO of the Maryland Aviation Administration, at its acclaimed Women of Excellence event, October 15th.   


Women of Excellence brings together over 600 top women leaders and their supporters in a mix and mingle cocktail party with heavy appetizers anchored by an inspiring conversation with our speaker, Shannetta Griffin.    


Shannetta Griffin, now Executive Director and CEO of the Maryland Aviation Administration, brings national-level expertise to the operations of BWI Thurgood Marshall and Martin State Airports and is poised to elevate Maryland’s aviation infrastructure and enhance the workforce leadership of BWI which contributes over $11 billion in economic activity in Maryland.  She previously served as the Associate Administrator for Airports at the FAA and in executive leadership roles for the Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) and the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. Sarah Mogol, board chair of Executive Alliance, said “we are tremendously excited to have Shannetta join us at Women of Excellence and share her unique experience as a woman of color in a male-dominated industry leading complex, innovative infrastructure projects while navigating significant change in the highly regulated aviation environment.”

Our Effective Impact Mentoring Program is a transformational, year-long experience that provides individual guidance and professional skills to help mid-level women achieve their career goals. Since its launch in 1997, over 230 women have benefited from the program.
